NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Food and beverages will be provided after the meeting.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Langley Electoral District Association of the Conservative Party of Canada (“the EDA”) will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the above location, commencing at 2:00 PM sharp. Registration will open at 1:00 PM.

In order to be elected as a director of the board, you must

(1)     have a valid Conservative Party membership for at least 21 days, or have a lapsed membership of not more than 90 days (which can be renewed at the registration desk on the day of the AGM), and support the Conservative Party stipulated in the membership requirements,

(2)     be nominated by a person with a valid CPC membership within the Langley Electoral District,

(3)     be committed to attend regular board meetings and actively participate within the committee structure of the board.

(4)     be prepared to actively work toward fulfilling the mandate of the EDA as outlined in the EDA constitution as found on the CPC website here: http://www.conservative.ca/media/EDA-Constitution-2009.pdf

Members of the EDA are to elect up to 30 eligible persons as Directors for 2011, 90% of whom must be from the riding.

Members wishing to be considered for the position of Director, and Members wishing to nominate another Member for the position of Director are asked to contact your Nomination Committee Chair, Dane Minor at info@langleyconservatives.caor call Pam at 604-534-9574.

NOTE:  The Delegate Selection Meeting (to elect delegates from Langley EDA to attend the national convention in June 2011) will occur after the meeting is addressed by Member of Parliament Mark Warawa and those attending have a short break following the AGM.
